Q: Is there a man in the new testament who saw or experienced a miracle of Jesus, and went back to his people to invite them to come and taste Jesus?

Yes, there are a couple of stories in the New Testament that fits your description pretty well.

In the Gospel of John, chapter 4, you’ve got the account of the Samaritan woman at the well. Now, I know you asked about a man, but bear with me—this is close. Jesus meets this woman, talks to her about living water, and reveals he knows her life story, which is a bit of a miracle in itself since they’d never met. She’s amazed and runs back to her town, telling everyone, “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?” (John 4:29). Her invitation works—tons of Samaritans come out to meet Jesus, and many end up believing in him.

If you’re looking strictly for a man, there’s another example in Mark 5 with the Gerasene demoniac. This guy’s possessed by a legion of demons, and Jesus casts them out into a herd of pigs—wild stuff. After the miracle, the man begs to follow Jesus, but Jesus tells him, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you” (Mark 5:19). So he does—he goes back to the Decapolis region and spreads the word about what Jesus did. Not quite “taste Jesus,” but he’s definitely inviting people to check out what happened.

Both stories show someone experiencing a miracle and running off to bring others to Jesus. The second one’s your man—does that work for you?

Full disclosure: The prior four paragraphs were written by Grok.AI!

There is a lot of concern in the world today about artificial intelligence.

What I have found is that, carefully used with prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, AI can be a fabulous tool for exploring God's word.  It starts with a good question, and a willingness to open the Bible and double check everything the AI responds with.  Let me know what you think. Were you blessed by this thought from Grok?

Another related story that comes to my mind is Abraham. God called Abraham, and he went on a quest to a promised land he had never seen. The set of books "The Bible Story" by Arthur Maxwell, told his story in loving detail. Here is something I learned from Maxwell's telling, a huge detail that I had not previously noticed:

While Abraham was travelling to the promised land, he passed through many other cities. The people from those cities were so impressed by Abraham, many of them left their homes and joined Abraham on his journey!

Did you ever think of Abraham as an evangelist?

Abraham was an evangelist for faith and hope and trusting the Lord!  He must have been so happy, and appealing in his message, that others had to join him!

Now for some practical application of tasting the joy of the Lord.

Will you learn to have a daily practice of laughing with the Lord, and experiencing His joy?  Will you become an infectious example and witness to the world of how God wants to heal our bodies with something as simple as laughter?

I hope so. Let me know if I can help you develop the skill of laughter!
